So we decided on the 29th for a general get together and mayhem session.Clap

The general feeling was, we could do both Artemis Bridge Simulator, please bring systems, we will need them.

.... and also setup a demonstration table in the living room for trialling 200th scale with FoW lists and Operation Warboard rules. Some specifics to be worked out.Approve

Please post up the times you will be attending and what you can bring.

Food will be a nonstop flow of Pizza, please bring any drinks you want.Cheers

As tomorrow is my last day working before Christmas, I have started on 2 army lists of 2000 points, with the intention of having them painted [including infantry] for the event.
British and Germans from Normandy, hope this suits!!

Michael is intending to bring his computer, mine is too complicated to detach from the desk.

Finally, we are available anytime so suggest an early afternoon start, say 1pm ish to set up for a 2pm start?

OK, after discussion with Eric and Karl, neither of which are available in the day we are now looking at an early evening start.
Tanks are printed and I will be doing some work on them today.

Excellent.

We should get Mike C and Chris L over for the afternoon.

Stu has an appointment he has to taxi for his mum at 2.00, so said he will get here as soon as he can.

Matt I think is working til 5.30 ish and will wander over after that.

We should be able to get the Artemis Bridge simulator up and running early and look to get the living room setup for 1/200 when you guys turn up. At least at that resolution a 4 foot square board should be ample.

I have a lot of tanks and quite a few buildings printed, nothing painted yet though. The printer has been playing up a lot in the last few days and only just got it sorted.

I also will have about 5 litres of Beard and Saber, Apple smuggler left for people to try. A local cider from Cirencester.

Looking forwards to it.

Interesting list, not to different to my list.

British will be finished [painted & based infantry] so do you want to deal with the Germans as your list contains no infantry?

On a separate note, Michael is now not coming as he is going away early on Wednesday for new years, so there are no computers coming from Gloucester, unless Stu is bringing his, so do we want to play a board game instead?

Happy either way with the forces, but if we are only starting between 5 and 7 then we would not really be able to do a board game as well.

As far as systems go, by around 6ish we should have at least 5 maybe 6 setup. I have 2 here, Mike has his laptop. Chris L should be turning up around 5.30 ish, Peter Stephenson around the same time both with theirs. Stu reconds he will be about the same time.If I get a chance I will pop into work and borrow the spare Operations laptop. So could have a spare in there somewhere.

I have an updated version of Artemis Bridge Simulator (ABS), V2,2, which should have a few more options from the last time we played it.

Matt should be here around 6.30, after he finishes work.

My aim is to have a table setup in the living room, about 4 ft square. With a load of houses and roads on it. Houses may be a little short of paint but it should work. Just printed off some dragons teeth, so we can have some obsticles as well!

All in all it will be a busy evening. Just need to sort out the food and it should be a fun evening. Peeps should be able to get a go at either events, or just watch.

As I figure it, with the wargaming we could do a bit of speed playing. Throw the tanks at each other with a reduce toops count and see if we can turn it around a few time. Peeps not wargaming can jump into 45 minute sessions of ABS.

Bring on the mayhem!!Cool
